  • Flower therapy

    The use of flower essences to remedy imbalances within the psycho-spiritual aspect of our being.  

  • Flower essences

    Totally benign, unperfumed water/alcohol extractions of certain flowers. They are believed to emanate the vital healing force or vibratory pattern of the flowers from which they derive. Not to be confused with highly odoriferous essential oils (also known. as essences) used in aromatherapy and perfumery.  

  • Crude vegetable drug

    Plant material that has not undergone any material elaboration or separation into constituents.  

  • Phytohormone

    A plant substance with a similar chemical composition to certain hormones secreted by the human organism.  

  • Cytophylactic

    Increases the production of white blood cells (which help defend the body against infection).  

  • Cicatrisant

    Promotes healing by increasing the regeneration of skin cells and the formation of scar tissue.  

  • Chronic illness

    Of long duration, involving very slow changes. It does not usually resolve itself without some kind of healing intervention.  

  • Cholagogic

    Stimulates the secretion and release of bile from the gall bladder into the duodenum.  

  • Antihaemorrhagic

    Prevents or arrests profuse internal or external bleeding.  

  • Resinoid

    A viscous, highly odoriferous substance (e.g. benzoin), extracted from resinous plant material by means of hydrocarbon solvents. Resinoids are also called oleoresins.
