Qualified

Having met certain requirements; usually refers to a health professional. In its Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals (CAMH), the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) defines a “qualified individual” as one who is qualified “by virtue of one or more of the following: education, experience, competence, applicable professional licensure, regulation or certification, registration, and privileges.”


A measure proposed to be used in economic analyses of the benefits of various procedures and programs.
