Quinapril

A drug used to treat high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. Quinapril (Accupril, Accuretic) is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, one of a class of drugs that lowers blood pressure by blocking the formation of a substance that contracts blood vessels. Quinapril works by relaxing blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure and increasing the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.


An ACE inhibitor, administered orally to manage hypertension and congestive heart failure. Its therapeutic class is antihypertensive.
