Relaxation training

Use of relaxation techniques to help individuals control their physical and mental state in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, such as anxiety disorders. Although there are many different techniques, most involve the alternate tensing and relaxing of different muscle groups, along with visualization of a pleasant scene or the use of a simple mantra to control distracting thoughts.


The use of various techniques to produce a state of relaxation or to relieve stress and tension.
