Torsion of the spermatic cord, is a surgical emergency because it causes strangulation gonadal blood supply with subsequent testicular necrosis and atrophy.
The rotation of the testicle along the spermatic cord, resulting in the interruption of blood flow to the testicle. This condition is regarded as a critical urological emergency.
