Tranexamic acid

A drug used to control severe bleeding.


A drug used in the control of bleeding. It inhibits the activation of plasminogen and fibrinolysis, and may be useful when bleeding cannot be stopped for instance, dental extraction in haemophilia. The drug is also useful in menorrhagia.


A medication with antifibrinolytic properties that enhances the formation of blood clots. Tranexamic acid is especially effective in addressing menorrhagia, characterized by heavy menstrual bleeding. Potential adverse reactions of the medication encompass symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
