Transvaginal tape sling

A surgical procedure used to treat urinary stress incontinence in women, in which an adjustable pubourethral mesh is inserted through the vagina to hold the urethra and neck of the bladder. It is used to manage conditions such as excessive mobility of the urethrovesical junction, intrinsic sphincter deficiency, or pelvic organ prolapse. It is also called “tension-free transvaginal tape sling.”
