Halibut fish facts

This halibut ranges in color from olive to brown weighing up to 500 pounds or 226 kg. It is found in the cold water of Bering Sea and North Pacific and for feeding it return to fertile coastal grounds. It is flat and has the shape of diamond with white belly and eyes on right side of the head. It has few bones with firm texture. Females grow fast and also have the long life span in comparison to males. They are large and active predators which feed on invertebrates and medium sized fishes.
