Pimentio botanically known as Pimenta Officinalis or Pimenta Diocia is an evergreen tree which is inherent to South America and Caribbean Islands. Pimento essential oil is extracted from the leaves and fruits of Pimento plant with the use of steam distillation process which results yellow to brown liquid with fresh, spicy and warm smell. This essential oil possesses the main constituents such as caryophyllene, cineol, methyl eugenol, eugenol and phellandrene.
