Sweet potato facts

The sweet potato has the botanical name as Ipomma batatas which belongs to Convolvulacere, morning glory famiy. It is inherent to Tropical America. It is a perennial plant which is cultivated as an annual that has trailing long stems. The leaves shape, skin and flesh color differs according to the variety. The skin color ranges from white-dark brown and the flesh color ranges from white-orange or dark purple.
