  • Tuber cinereum

    The part of the brain to which the stalk of the pituitary gland is connected. A part of the base of the hypothalamus bordered by the mammillary bodies, the optic chiasma, and on either side by the optic tract. It is connected by the infundibulum with the posterior lobe of the pituitary.
