    Chocolate chili recipe

    • Yield: 10 to 12 Servings
    • Preparation Time: 45 Minutes

    Ingredients

    • Olive oil
    • 2 lb extra-lean ground beef
    • 2 large onions, diced
    • 6 garlic cloves, minced
    • 2 red bell peppers, diced
    • 2 large (approx 32-oz.) cans kidney beans
    • 2 large cans diced tomatoes
    • 2 cups of beef broth
    • 1 (6-oz) can Italian-style tomato paste
    • 2 tbsp cumin
    • ¼ cup cocoa powder
    • 2 tsp cinnamon
    • A few splashes of hot sauce
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    How to Make It
    1. Select the Sauté mode on the Instant Pot and let it heat up. Add enough olive oil to lightly coat bottom of the pot.
    2. Add beef, onions, garlic, and bell peppers. Sauté for 5 minutes.
    3. Add remaining ingredients (be sure to add juice from beans and the diced tomatoes) to pot and stir to incorporate. Secure lid and pressure cook on high for 15 minutes.
    4. Allow pressure to release naturally and remove the lid. Stir and serve with your favorite sides.
