    Hamburger hash supreme recipe

    For a quick and easy to make meal, serve this hamburger hash with cornbread.

    • Yield: 8 Servings
    • Total Time: 35 Minute

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 large onion (peeled, chopped)
    • 6 potatoes (peeled, chopped)
    • ½ cup green pepper (chopped)
    • ½ small head of cabbage (chopped)
    • 1 (14½ ounce) can beef broth
    • 1 (1 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
    • 1 tsp cumin
    • ½ tsp black pepper
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • Cornstarch (optional)
    • Cornbread (to serve, optional)
    How to Make It
    1. Add the beef, onion, potatoes, and peppers to a 10" skillet and cook until the meat is browned all over and no pink remains.
    2. Add the chopped cabbage.
    3. In a bowl, whisk the broth with the onion soup mix, cumin, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce, stir to combine and add the butter. Bring to boil before reducing to a simmer. Cover with a lid and continue cooking for 10 minutes.
    4. Remove the lid and allow to simmer for between 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender and the liquid in the pan has reduced. You may want to add a small amount of cornstarch at this stage, to thicken. Enjoy.
