    Mum’s turmeric tea recipe

    A health-giving, nourishing tea, best drunk when you’re feeling a little under the weather and in need of a boost.

    • Yield: 2 cups

    Ingredients

    • 3 cm ginger, peeled and grated
    • 1 cm fresh turmeric, grated, or ⅓ teaspoon ground turmeric
    • 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
    • 1 lemon juice
    How to Make It
    1. Place the ginger and turmeric in a saucepan and add 500 ml of water. Bring to the boil, then take off the heat and add the honey and lemon juice.
    2. Taste, and add more honey if you think it needs it. Pour through a sieve into two mugs, squeezing all of the juices out of the grated ginger, and grated turmeric, if using, with the back of a spoon.
