    Pumpkin cream pie recipe

    This pumpkin pie has a very soft and creamy taste.

    • Yield: 1 (9″ pie), 8 portions

    Ingredients

    For the Dough
    • 1 egg
    • Pumpkin, 1 lb
    • Honey (liquid), 2 tbsp
    • Brown sugar, 2 tbsp
    • Whipping cream or coconut cream, 4 oz
    • Coconut oil, 1 tbsp
    • Cinnamon, 1 tbsp
    • Whole grain flour, 2 tbsp
    How to Make It
      Prepare the Dough
    1. Whisk egg and honey in a bowl. Add oil and mix all together using spoon or whisk. Add flour and mix the dough with hands.
    2. Form the dough into a ball, and place in a bag in a freezer for 5–10 minutes. It will make the dough more elastic and easier to work with.
    3. Prepare the filling. You can do it two ways—with a blender or manually.
    4. Way 1. Clean and cut pumpkin it into cubes; place it in a blender cup. Add the rest of ingredients for the filling. Mix well. Way 2. Clean and grate pumpkin. Mix the rest of ingredients for the filling in a bowl. Add grated pumpkin, and mix all together using spoon.
    5. Put the oven on preheat to 380°F.
    6. Now let’s Prepare the base
    7. Take the dough out. Roll it using a rolling pin or bottle. Cut the circle from the dough. You can use a lid of the proper size to achieve a perfect circle shape. Place the dough on a wax paper and put it on a round tray.
    8. Place your pumpkin filling in the pie. You can use the rest of the dough to decorate your pie.
    9. Place the pie in the oven and bake for 40 minutes (380°F).
