Keto Recipes for Accelerated Weight LossThese delicately spiced pears can be served with crème Fraiche instead of ice cream. Since the pears and the wine add the sweetness, you do not need to add any sugar to this recipe.

    • Yield: 2 Servings

    Ingredients

    • 6 Ripe Pears
    • 1 Bottle Red Wine
    • ½ Cup Orange Juice
    • 1 Vanilla Bean
    • 1 Cinnamon Stick
    • 3 Tbsp Crème Fraiche (Completely your decision. This is optional)
    How to Make It
    1. Remove the cores from the pears but do ensure to leave the stem intact. In your slow cooker add the orange juice, wine and the cinnamon stick.
    2. Scrape the seeds from the vanilla bean and add to this mix. Cover and cook the pears on high for 3-4 hours or on slow for 7-8 hours.
    3. When serving, cut the pears in half and add some of the liquid over the pears. Serve with some crème Fraiche.
    4. Do not get rid of the poaching liquid, it will always come handy. Let the liquid cool and then you can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
