    Sardines with Endive and Lemon Recipe

    The Deliciously Keto CookbookRich, bone-building sardines are accented with fresh dill and a splash of lemon juice, and served on crisp Belgian endive.

    Ingredients

    • 1 small head Belgian endive
    • 1 (3.75-oz.; 106 g) can sardines in olive oil
    • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
    • 1 tsp grated lemon zest
    • ½ tsp sea salt
    • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
    How to Make It
    1. Trim woody end off Belgian endive and separate leaves.
    2. Drain sardines, discarding olive oil. Break sardines into large pieces.
    3. Place 2 to 3 sardine pieces on each endive leaf. Sprinkle with dill, lemon zest, and sea salt.
    4. Drizzle sardine pieces with extra-virgin olive oil before serving.
