Cook Healthy and QuickAromatic sage has a powerful flavor that combines with sweet figs in this Italian summer tea.

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh or dried figs, quartered
  • 2 fresh sage leaves, or ¼ tsp dried whole sage leaves
  • ½ cup boiling water, plus 1 2/3 cups water heated to 185 degree F (85 degree C)
  • 2 tbsp Longevity White tea leaves (Shou Mei)
  • ice cubes
How to Make It
  1. Divide the figs and sage between two tumblers. Muddle with a muddler or pestle, then add the boiling water. Leave to cool.
  2. Place the tea leaves in a teapot, add the heated water, and infuse for 2 minutes. Then strain into the tumblers and stir to mix with the fig and sage. Leave to cool. Stir and add the ice cubes before serving.
