    Marjoram TeaMarjoram tea is an inherent to Arabia and Egypt. Now it is broadly cultivated in the Mediterranean region. The herb has got soft and sweet fragrance. It was used as a perfume during ancient times. The leaves of Marjoram are small in size and round in shape. The marjoram tea helps in digestion, soothes stomach pains, stimulates appetite and alleviates gases. Boil a cup of water by adding one teaspoon of marjoram powder for 15 minutes. One should intake two to four cups of marjoram infusion in an interval of two hours. It is also effective to treat cold and flu. The strong tea could be made by adding the two teaspoons of marjoram to a cup of cold water and let it soak for 24 hours. Then refine it and add honey. Those having the blood circulation problems would be benefited with the use of marjoram tea because it provides an adjusting effect to the temperature of the body. The hair can be revitalized by replacing the normal water with a 20g of herb to one liter of water (marjoram infusion).

    1. Stimulates digestion

    The daily intake of a cup of Marjoram tea helps to raise the digestive performance. The presence of nutrient helps to enhance digestion. The nutrient content raises the enzymes of saliva and digestion with an improvement in digestive system. It promotes the appetite. It also prevents the infection of small as well as large intestine. It helps to relieve the severe stomach ache and cramps. It also alleviates constipation and diarrhea.

    2. Anti-inflammatory properties

    The intake of this tea prevents the diseases caused due to inflammation. It also relieves the sinus headaches, body pain, headache, muscle spasm, migraines, toothache and asthma.

    3. Promoting Osteotrophic

    Marjoram tea possess huge amount of Vitamin K which helps to promote the osteotrophic activity in the body by forming the bone mass. It prevents Alzheimer disease and also eliminates the nerve damage. It contains the potassium and calcium which helps to maintain the heart rate and level of blood pressure.

    The intake of warm marjoram tea relieves the symptoms of runny nose and cold. It also treats the lining of mouth. It also enhances the circulation of blood.

    Marjoram is added in many cuisines in the form of spice in meat, other dishes and vegetables. It is used in red wine as an aphrodisiac.

    Marjoram Tea preparation

    Brewing: The full teaspoon of marjoram herb should be added to cold water (200 ml or 6.7 fluid ounces). Boil after adding the herbs to the water. The heat should be reduced when it boils and it should be simmered for 15 minutes. Then strain it into a cup and add honey for sweetness which helps to avoid unnecessary calories. To enhance a taste, a dash of lemon should be added. It is recommended to take up to three cups of marjoram tea in a day.

    Marjoram Tea Side Effects

    The pregnant women should avoid the intake of marjoram in large amounts because it may lead in the contraction of uterine. The children and infants are not recommended to drink the marjoram tea. The dose of marjoram tea should be reduced if diarrhea, nausea or vomiting is experienced. One should consult the doctor if the symptoms last for more days. The doctor should be consulted before using herbal tea because it may interact with certain drugs. One should drink only 3 cups of Marjoram tea in a day to avoid the above side effects.
