    Schisandra essential oil is the extracted with CO2 extraction from dehydrated fruits of Schisandra tree. It was commonly used by Russian Olympic athletes as well as hockey players for its adaptogenic properties. This essential oil is used to counteract stress problems, diseases, anxiety problems and weakness issues. It also slows down the occurrence of premature aging. It stimulates the immune system and useful for the treatment of premenstrual disorder. It supports post-surgical healing and lowers anxiety as well as tension. Schisandra is also cultivated in Northeastern China (in the province of Jilin, Heilongjiang, Lianoning and Hebei). It is woody and aromatic vine that could reach up to 25 feet in height with red berries and pink flowers. The seeds taste aromatic and hot. Other common names for this plant are Schizandra, Five flavor berry, Mognolia Vines, Wu wei zi and Omicha.
